Mechanical Engineer

As a mechanical engineer for hydrogen fuel cells, your focus will be mainly on designing mechanical components in 3D-CAD, overseeing outsourced production and mechanically integrating components in an existing fuel cell system. This system has then to be integrated in a customer application like a vehicle or ship.

If you are interested in us, we are probably interested in you too. So introduce yourself to us and we’ll see if we’re a match for each other.

What we offer

We give you the opportunity to learn and grow by implementing your ideas, becoming an essential part of zepp.solutions. You will join our small mechanical engineering team and collaborate frequently with other disciplines.

We build these collaborations based on trust. In practice , this means all ideas are valued and seriously considered. We all have plenty to learn and plenty to teach. As an innovation-focused company, this mentality provides us with the resilience necessary to maintain our position at the forefront of our sector.

Task description

You will spend most of your time working on:

Designing mechanical components in 3D-CAD, from a certain set of requirements is an important part of your job. And you analyse them via FEA methods on their strength, mechanically stress test the component to verify the FEA and in the end integrate this new component in the existing product, which is the complete fuel cell system. You are responsible for the entire development cycle of your newly developed product. This also includes responsibility for out-sourced production and assembly.

Integration is a large part of the job as well. You are responsible for mechanically integrating components in an existing fuel cell system in 3D-CAD. This complete system has then to be integrated in a customer application like a vehicle or ship. You are responsible for this integration and the alignment with the customer in the mechanical field.

We are looking for someone who can easily adapt to the diversity of tasks that arises when working in a young and growing company. Someone who knows how to mechanically design and integrate in a practical matter and understands the importance of durability.

Job in a nutshell

  • Develop mechanical components, from 3D-CAD to final assembly (design, FEM analysis, production drawings, assembly)
  • Integrate these components in an existing product
  • Integrate the product (fuel cell system) into an application (vehicle)
  • Develop and execute mechanical stress tests
