zepp.solutions launches high-power generator series for off-grid zero-emission power

Dutch hydrogen technology company zepp.solutions has launched a new series of zero-emission generator sets that can replace diesel generators for off-grid and high-demand power applications. The new zepp.generator series delivers up to 600 kW continuous and 1 MW peak power output.

As industries face stricter emission standards and move away from diesel, the zepp.generator provides a drop-in, zero-emission solution for off-grid and high-demand operations.

The systems are designed as stand-alone, ready-to-use power units. Each generator set includes all components needed to produce clean electrical energy from hydrogen, housed within standard 10- or 20-foot ISO containers.

The zepp.generator is already operational in the field. Since last week, a 10-foot zepp.generator has been powering Van den Herik-Sliedrecht’s Prins ZEs, the Netherlands’ first fully electric wire crane vessel. The generator charges the ship’s 2 MWh battery packs every night, enabling a full working day of emission-free dredging operations.

Matching diesel performance and cost per kWh

“These containerised solutions make large-scale zero-emission power accessible anywhere,” said Jonas Brendelberger, CCO at zepp.solutions. “With these systems, we’ve made hydrogen fuel cell power as easy to deploy as diesel, but without the emissions or noise.”

The units are based on the zepp’s proven X150 platform that is already powering hydrogen trucks and vessels across Europe. With industry-leading efficiency of up to 62%, the generator sets deliver a cost per kWh comparable to diesel while eliminating CO₂, NOₓ, and particulate emissions entirely. An integrated lithium-ion battery allows for rapid load response and black-start capability.

Off-grid power for demanding applications

Thanks to their transportable ISO container design, zepp.generator units can be easily deployed across a wide range of applications, from construction sites and shore power to EV fast-charging infrastructure and grid-congested areas.

Technical overview

The zepp.generator is available in four standard configurations:

ModelContinuous PowerPeak PowerBattery CapacityContainer Size
