De waterstofaangedreven straddle carrier is uitgerust met een waterstofbrandstofcelsysteem geleverd door zepp.solutions, waarbij ons team ook ondersteuning biedt bij de integratie ervan in het vernieuwde D200-platform van Konecranes.
In hun nieuwste artikel gaat Konecranes in op de manier waarop waterstof een aanvullende optie vormt wanneer beperkingen in het elektriciteitsnet of operationele eisen de batterijtechnologie tot het uiterste drijven. Zoals onze CCO Jonas Brendelberger in het artikel uitlegt, is het inpassen van het brandstofcelsysteem, de waterstofopslag en de vermogenselektronica binnen de krappe ruimte en de strenge gewichtsbeperkingen van zware havenapparatuur een belangrijk onderdeel om waterstof in de praktijk te laten werken.
